In between

In between

Amidst the hustle between Christmas and New Year, do we truly take a break and care for ourselves?

The self-imposed stress of finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones, organizing Christmas gatherings, decorating the Christmas tree, from decking the halls to preparing and cooking meals, can be overwhelming. Even presenting the right Christmas gift can weigh heavily on our minds and bodies.

Yet, what about the time in between? Once the guests have departed and the cleanup is complete, do we genuinely rest and prioritise self-care?

Or do we find ourselves dwelling on perceived overindulgences during Christmas? Perhaps we’ve eaten and indulged a bit too much, leading to a realisation that we haven’t fulfilled last year’s self-promises. The week in between seems too short to address these goals but too long to wait for the next year’s resolutions.

So, what do we do? Do we continue punishing ourselves for overindulging during Christmas, failing to meet last year’s promises, and struggling to envision next year’s resolutions? This negative spiral of self-punishment and doubt can be draining.

Instead, let’s consider putting ourselves first. Even if only for a few days, take that massage or indulge in a complete beauty day. Spoil yourself with whatever you’ve postponed throughout the year. Focus on yourself, if only for a moment. What would bring you happiness? Identify it and then, simply do it!

This is the key to making the most of the time in between. Recharge your batteries, ensuring you’re prepared and energised for the upcoming year.

Christmas and New Year

Are we really resting and looking after our self ?

After all that self induced stress of getting our loved once the right presents, Preparing the Christmas get together, like building up the Christmas tree, preparing and cooking all that food. Even if it is just to show up with the right Christmas Gift.

That is really stressful on our mind and body.

But what are we doing with the time in between? After everyone left and all that mess is cleaned up?

Are we really resting and looking after our self?

Or are we punishing us for pigging out on Christmas ? We eat too much, dank too much…                                                                                                             Then realising that we haven’t fulfilled our last year “ self promises “ but this week in between ist too short to do so, yet too long to start with the next year resolutions.

So what do we really do. Punishing our self that we pigged out on Christmas, haven’t done last years promises to our self and can’t think of the next year resolutions. So we going down on a negative spiral of self punishment and doubt.

Instead we should start looking after our self. Put yourself first!!!

Even if it is just for a couple of days. Go and get that Massage, or a complete beauty day. Spoil yourself, with whatever you put off this whole year.         Just think of yourself, for once.

What would make you happy?!?!?

And then just do it!!!!

Thats the only way to sense full use the time in-between. Recharge your battery’s, so you can be ready for next year.
